SCHEDULE OF DAY

12-3 PM: LIVE READINGS (GREAT HALL)
In traditional Bloomsday fashion, join our live readers for excerpts from Joyce’s epic. Laugh, question, and become obsessed with the wild adventures of the book’s protagonist Leopold Bloom.

3-4 PM: THE LIBELOUS LIBRARY SINGERS (MCCLELLAND LIBRARY)
Join us for a politically incorrect rendering of the many songs of Ulysses (the world’s MOST banned book!)

4-5:30 PM: TRANSLATING ULYSSES FILM (GREAT HALL)
Straight from the Chicago Irish Film Fest, documentary filmmakers, Aylin Kuryel and Firat Yücel, introduce us to one of the most amazing literary missions ever undertaken: Translating James Joyce’s Ulysses into Kurdish, a long-oppressed language in Turkey. Learn more about the film here: https://chicagoirishfilmfestival.com/events/translatingulysses/
