Seachtain na Gaeilge Workshop

The Academy of Irish and Celtic Studies will be hosting a 7 day Irish Language Immersion Workshop from May 16 – 22. You can attend just one day or the whole week. Students of the Academy of Irish & Celtic Studies get a reduced rate!

Each attendee will be able to pay for their own lunch from the lunch menu, or to bring their own instead. Some refreshments will be available throughout the day.

  • Sun. 10AM – 4PM
  • 1 day attendance for 3 hours on any one Mon. – Fri. session $30 (Academy students $25)
  • 1 day attendance for 5 hours on Sat. or on Sun. $50  (Academy students $45)
  • 7 day attendance for 25 hours $225   (Academy students $215)

The workshop will be led by Éilis Nic Aodhagáin

Éilis Nic Aodhagáin (Éilis Keegan) is from a small town called Athboy in County Meath. Her qualifications include a BA in Irish and Spanish and an MA in Modern Irish, both from University College Dublin. Éilis is currently an Irish teacher at Gaelchultúr Teoranta and at University College Dublin, but she has also taught at University of Montana as a Fulbright FLTA. When not teaching Irish, she enjoys playing both camogie and Gaelic football with an Irish-speaking club in Dublin – Na Gaeil Óga – and sitting down in a quiet session to play a few tunes on the fiddle with some friends. In many ways she is your typical Irish cailín, but she will also head off traveling the world at the drop of a hat as she enjoys nothing more than seeing new places, meeting new people and trying new things.
